The story
- 01
The goal
Add space and character to a Longboat Key home, with easy access between levels and more room to enjoy the outdoors.
- 02
The challenge
Island construction adds elevation, wind and access requirements to every part of an addition.
- 03
Our approach
A design-build addition that included the elevator, the stair and foyer spaces, the screened porch and an outdoor shower.
- 04
The result
A teal board-and-batten home with wood garage doors, a slate-and-iron staircase, a wood-paneled private elevator, a screened porch for dining and lounging, and a cedar outdoor shower.
